Jenny & Dave

I told Jenny I’d have this preview ready for her either last night following the session or today and I almost didn’t make it because there were a ridiculous number of favorites to choose from.  This is what happens when you pair a picturesque background with a photogenic couple, I end up glued to my computer in an editing frenzy and suddenly the preview is twice as long as normal.  It really was the perfect time and place for pictures and I think it’s a good omen for what’s to come for these two in their new life together.   It’s going to be tough having to wait until next September for their wedding at Old Red.  The wait will get even tougher after we shoot Jenny’s bridals and I have to keep them under lock and key until after the ceremony.  I hope the preview was worth the extra wait Jenny.  Now it’s my turn to wait!…

Brittany & Brenton

Finally cooler weather!!  It was so nice not to be sweating buckets at yesterday’s engagement session for a change.  Along with the cooler temps we got some pretty rowdy winds which made things interesting but we still managed to get some good shots of this beautiful couple and their awesome kids.  It can be extremely challenging to pull of the type of pictures I normally try to create during an engagement session when little ones are involved, but we decided as long as we didn’t have to make the kids wait around on us the whole time it was worth a shot.  These two sweethearts had me wondering why I’d ever worried.  After getting a few of the new family together Mimi took the kids for McDonald’s and other well earned treats so that we could focus on Brittany and Brenton alone.  I really enjoyed spending some time with them.  It’s always a pleasure working with people who have great chemistry together and play off each other naturally.  A little preview from their session…

Tracy & Robi

Tracy, Robi and I met up at the Canals in Las Colinas to get some shots of them and their two handsome sons before their wedding next month.  We lucked out and got a little bit of rain early in the morning which helped to bring down the scorching 110 degree temps we’ve been experiencing here in Texas for the past month.  The moisture did make it a bit muggy so we were all bloating our faces constantly with towels (always bring towels, comfy shoes/flip flops, cold water, makeup and a brush with you to your session they can be lifesavers!)  I can’t wait to see what these two and the talented Chelsey Dane Arnal of Bride Associates have planned for their wedding at Texas Discovery Gardens.  Luckily we won’t have to wait too much longer!  A little preview from the session…

Amy & Claudio

Engagements by nature are romantic.  They showcase the love and bond growing between two people.  I think they are especially romantic when they are for couples who have already been together for a while and whose love has already had a chance to stand some of the tests of time  and yet still flourishes and radiates from between them.  This past weekend I had a chance to admire this sort of committed love firsthand as I shot some “engagements” for these two lovebirds who will soon be celebrating their last decade together with the ceremony and reception they truly deserve.  A few favorites from the session…

Melissa & Mark

I had some fun gallivanting around Denton with Melissa and Mark shooting their engagement session.  Melissa was super nervous about having to be in front of the camera.  Luckily her boy Mark stepped up and was a total ham trying to make her comfortable and helping her try to forget that their cozy little date at the bar they met at was being intruded upon by paparazzi.  With a little liquid courage and a whole bunch of laughs I think the fear began to subside and we got some adorable shots of these two beautiful people in love.  Please enjoy a little preview…
